Where it all Began...

Lynn Santer sent her first story "The Magical Scarecrow" to a publisher when she was only nine years old, and won her first award for animal welfare work at the tender age of eleven. Since then she enjoyed an illustrious career in the world of high finance that saw her act as specialist consultant to the British Government on pensions legislation reform, address committees in the House of Commons and across the European Union, and which provided her with inspiration for her first best-selling novel "Sins of Life (insurance)".

Following on from her first success Lynn quickly completed a "Sins of Life" trilogy but not wanting to be known for just one genre this prolific and versatile writer has successfully produced such diverse titles as "Professor Midnight" (a supernatural thriller dubbed as "Harry Potter for grown ups") "Land of the Free" (the lightly fictionalized saga concerning Lynn's actual teaming with Hollywood legend and big cat conservationist, Tippi Hedren, and ex Special Forces commandos to plan an undercover mission in Africa to help stop brutal atrocities against endangered big game) "Farewell Brave Babylon" (the non-fiction life story of Saddam Hussein's former personal pilot whom Lynn was responsible for engaging in an ongoing peace initiative with an ultra orthodox Israeli Rabbi and a former spokesperson from World Vision) and "Beyond World Safari" (the authorized biography of enigmatic Australian adventurer, conservationist, and forerunner to Steve Irwin, Alby Mangels.

The Magical Scarecrows Series

In keeping with her philosophy of life to always "give back", early in 2007 Lynn decided she would turn her hand to producing a series of children's books for FREE distribution to schools, hospitals and charities around the world. Adapting the stories she first wrote when she was nine years old, and rewrote for her sister's first child to pass on her love of the wildlife to the next generation, "Auntie Lynn" has created an ongoing philanthropic children's entertainment phenomenon that is already sweeping the globe. Among many messages in this truly magical series is that your potential and your ability should only be bound by your imagination, and your imagination should be boundless.

"The Magical Scarecrows - Book One" was launched at Australia's premiere theme park, Dreamworld, with children from The Leukaemia Foundation and Paradise Kids in Crisis, April, 2007, introducing two Magical Scarecrows at opposite ends of the earth who have been breathed to life by Mother Earth to care for wildlife and the environment. Through exciting adventures that Hollywood legend, Tippi Hedren, calls "Kid's thrillers" these straw-filled, wobbly saviors of all things good gradually lead the carers and leaders of tomorrow through social, historical and environmental lessons, teaching us to love all things along the way.

Within one month of its launch "The Magical Scarecrows - Book One" was taken in the UK, US, Bali, Dubai, Holland, Hong, Kong, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Australia, and there has been an offer to translate the stories into Japanese.  The spin off series “The Magical Scarecrows Garden” is dedicated to Lynn’s late father and teaches children the value of healthy eating while also raising funds into diabetes research.
